DESCRIPTION:Professor Anne D. Hedeman delves into representations of history using one sacred Northern European example, the Master of Frankfurt’s “Descent from the Cross with Scenes from the Passion,” and one secular Italian example, the Master of the Apollini Sacrum’s “Assassination of Julius Caesar.” The discussion will focus on the storytelling practices represented in these paintings and consider the experiences of their makers and viewers. Senior Sessions are designed with accommodations for older adults, but open to all.
