An activity for elementary-school children
Today you will learn about different kinds of texture in art. You will look at visual texture and real texture to learn about how texture may affect how we feel about a work of art.- Visual texture: Looks like it would feel if it were real and you could touch it. For example, a drawing of a cactus.
- Real texture: Looks and feels like it really feels. For example, a real cactus.
