Sometimes the meanings of works that emphasize the conceptual are intensely personal to the artist. Dairy for a Monday Morning by William Wiley is essentially a "mind-map," or a combination of visual and written diary, that remains something of an enigma to the viewer. Most of Wiley’s work can be decoded in the context of his other works, as he repeats many of the same symbols. Reading the text my help the viewer understand this work and is Wiley’s way of giving the viewer more information about the construction.
