    ACT OUT: ART IN!

    This brand new art-into-theater workshop, devised by the Lawrence Youth Ensemble and the Spencer Museum of art, happens on Friday, October 16, 2009 from 10 AM to 4 PM, in the Spencer’s central court. The workshop caters specifically to USD497 students in grades 7 through 12 who have no classes on this date.

    It Starts with Art!

    Our entertaining, interactive programs for children ages 5-14 combine art education with hands-on creation. Each week, students explore selected art works in the museum and make their own art based on the techniques, media and traditions they discover.

    Spencer Family Days

    The Spencer offers special Family Days throughout the year in conjunction with exhibitions. Hands-on activities, family guides to the exhibitions, performances, and kid-friendly films encourage a fun family-oriented atmosphere at the museum.
