Museum purchase: Lucy Shaw Schultz Fund, 1990.0012 This I Believe is a print about homelessness. Strike intended the text, a passage from William Faulkner, to resemble graffiti on a brick wall. He also described this print as “a ravaged, urban image, a sign of protest and anger; yet the graffiti is a sign of determination.”
