Native Son, Local Threads: Quilts Inspired by Richard Wright

For my quilt I chose to recreate an image of Tupac. Tupac is an African American hero to me. He stood for many things during his short-lived life. Even though the public called him a ‘gangster’ rapper—a bad image—he still expressed how he felt about the world around him.
