Elevator Poetry

Guidelines

• All submissions should be laid out in a 12 point Word document, formatted as you would like it to appear. Submissions should be no more than 600 words long.
• We will set the type in accordance with ADA guidelines. We will also set the type size and color so as to best enhance your work for display purposes. See our archives for layout examples.
• After a work is has been removed it will be archived on our website along with any links to the artist that have been provided.
• All submissions should be sent to spencerart@ku.edu along with the following information about the poem, poet and piece:
• When was the poem written?
• What specific object, exhibition, artist from the Spencer was the poem inspired by, created for, or appropriately link to?
• Where is the writer from?
• Where do you live now?
• In one short sentence is there more you would like your audience to know about you?
  For example any titles, accolades, children, pets, work, profession, morbid fear of elevators that would preclude you from seeing your own work?
• Do you have a website that you would like us to link to for more information about you and your work?
• In case the need arises for direct contact, how can we best get hold of you?
