4. How has the artist used line to lead your eye through the picture?
5. How are the colors in the bottom half of the picture different from those in the top half?
6. What artistic technique has the artist used to unify, or bring together the sand, ocean, and sky?
7. Is this painting calm and soothing or scary and alarming?
8. Is this painting more about nature or more about people? How can you tell?
9. Compare and contrast this seascape with landscapes that also depict bodies of water.
