Conservation Issues: Repair of Loss

The lower left corner of this print was destroyed but it has been repaired with an insert (a new piece of paper) on which the restorer has redrawn the missing lines of Dürer's woodcut. A careful examination shows these repaired lines to have been painted in with a very fine brush.
